Project: BSH AG, looked after for more than nine years
BSH AG is an IT service provider and one of our longest client relationships. We have looked after the website for more than nine years, with several relaunches that each built on the previous one.
The latest expansion covered three things: a digital strategy with defined audiences and services, a lead path that guides prospects from the service page to an enquiry, and alignment with AI search (GEO). According to the Sistrix AI Check, mentions of the website in AI answers rose from 0 in October 2025 to more than 800 in June 2026.
The most common relaunch mistakes
Most relaunches we take over did not fail because of the design but because of the preparation. We see these mistakes again and again:
1. No agreed scope. The project starts with "we need a new website", but nobody has written down which pages, features and languages belong to it. Every new idea then shifts timeline and budget.
2. The sitemap is not fixed. If design starts before it is settled which pages exist and which questions they answer, the design gets bent into shape later. The sitemap belongs at the start.
3. Content arrives too late. Copy and images are "delivered later" and hold up the launch. Who delivers what by when belongs in the project plan.
4. Old rankings get lost. Without redirects from the old addresses, a new website loses visibility that took years to build.
5. Too many decision makers without an approval path. When five people approve every detail but nobody has the final say, the project goes round in circles.
Pro tip from our projects
Before the first design meeting, write the sitemap on a single page: which pages, which question each one answers, who delivers the copy. That one page saves several correction rounds in almost every project. (Malek Arab, Managing Director)

What AI changes about the work of a web design agency
We have worked with AI every day for three years. Research, first drafts, headline variants and tests have become much faster. You see earlier what your website will look like, and we can try more before decisions are made.
What stays the same: people decide which pages your customers need, how your brand should come across and what belongs on the home page. What is new is an additional task. Your website not only has to be found in Google, it also has to work as a source in ChatGPT, Gemini and Google’s AI Overviews. We plan structure, content and structured data for that from the start.
Prices, timeline and who we work for
A company website for a mid-sized business starts at around 5,000 euros with us. Larger projects with many pages, several languages or interfaces cost correspondingly more. From the first call to launch it usually takes 8 to 12 weeks, depending on scope and how quickly content and approvals arrive. What a website costs in general and what the price depends on is explained in our guide to the cost of a website.
We work for mid-sized companies all over Germany, mostly B2B: IT and software, industry, service providers, law firms and practices. Our office is in Aachen. Meetings take place online, on site in Aachen or at your premises by arrangement. For companies from the region there is our page on web design in Aachen.
